Guidelines for Proposing a Scientech Presentation


1. Pick up a BLUE Presentation Proposal Form from the Cashier’s Table

2. Select a Subject for the presentation with your proposed Speaker.

3. Complete the few lines on the Proposal Form.

4. Send copies of the Proposal Form to the Program Manager (Upton) and the WebMaster (Stanley).This will be done automatically if you fill in and submit the online form on this web site. After Board review and APPROVAL, your proposed presentation will then be placed on the Suggested Future Talks list on this web site.

5. The Board will review the Suggested Talks list each month and SELECT one or more Program Subjects for future talks to the Club.

6. The Program Manager will notify you when your Subject has been SELECTED and send you a Confirmation Form. You may then, in consultation with your Speaker, select a suitable open date from the Schedule of Events. Click the Schedule button under Weekly Programs in the Navigation Bar at the top of any page on this web site to see the current Presentation Schedule. You must then notify Program Manager Upton and WebMaster Stanley IMMEDIATELY about the date chosen and return the Confirmation Form so that the date can be reserved for your presentation. No dates can be reserved prior to Board APPROVAL and SELECTION of the talk.

7. A Speaker Information Form will be sent to you after the date has been confirmed.

8. Ask your Speaker to complete the Speaker Information Form ASAP.

9. Assure that the Speaker Information Form is sent to Upton and Stanley (and to yourself with the background information for your introduction of the speaker).
